Renwick Educational Foundation

The mission of the Renwick Educational Foundation is to generate and distribute resources to the Renwick Unified School District to enrich, maintain, and expand programs needed to meet the District’s stated mission of excellence in education.

The Renwick Educational Foundation (REF) was established in 2000 as a nonprofit organization to support educational programs for students and staff of the Renwick School District. The purpose of the Foundation is to provide funds for educational activities have which either not been funded or have been under funded by the Renwick School District’s normal operational budget.

Renwick Educational Foundation Produces:

  • Renwick Teacher Grants ($51,295 From 2019-2024 )
  • Scholarships to Students ($9,400 Annually)

The Renwick Educational Foundation works to:

  • Facilitate student achievement and skill development.
  • Recognize and encourage staff excellence.
  • Expand community involvement from individuals, businesses, and civic organizations.

Specifically, the Renwick Educational Foundation provides:

  • Grants to Teachers: The Foundation provides Partnerships in Innovation Education (PIE) grants to teachers to use in the classroom.
  • Grants totaling approximately $18,320 were distributed in 2024. Since 2018, grants totaling approximately $103,328 have been distributed.
  • Scholarships to Students: The Foundation provides annual scholarships to Renwick students to help support their post secondary education pursuits such as college or vocation training. Every year, high school students are awarded scholarships totaling $9,400.
